Job Title: Solution Architect

Job Description:

Solution Architect is responsible for technical solutions delivery and customer acceptance of Polaris projects. In this role, you will be an important member of the Operations team and will be responsible for overall technical success of Polaris Wireless project implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Design end-to-end location systems during deployments
  • Responsible for technical aspects of end-to-end solutions delivery, deployment, system integration,  and customer acceptance of the project
  • Act as a prime point of contact with the customer for all technical issues during the all post- sales phases including system integration and customer acceptance
  • Support project/program management for project planning, scheduling, technical risk assessment and mitigation
  • Lead on-site troubleshooting efforts, and work with engineering and development teams for a quick issue resolution
  • Prepare and present regular project status report for internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant emerging technologies
  • Prepare technical training material, and deliver training programs towards external customers
  • Interface with external third party vendors and internal cross functional teams (engineering and R&D) to ensure on-time delivery of technical solutions, and compliance for product specifications and accuracy as per RFP response

Qualifications:

 

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or technologically relevant field

Required Skills & Experience:

 

  • Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in RF engineering, system integration and/or network deployment
  • Minimum of 7 years experience working for a GSM or UMTS carrier and/or Wireless infrastructure vendors
  • Very good understanding of various wireless standards such as GSM and UMTS at both radio and network interfaces, network, architecture and protocols
  • Hands-on work experience with radio and core network nodes (BSC, MSC, HLR) of various vendors and interoperability with understanding of end-to-end call flow. 
  • Experience with location technologies deployment, probe deployment, system integration, and ability to design location technology solutions for carriers preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - ability to prepare and present comprehensive presentations to customers at all levels
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to succeed in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and priorities
